After a long drought, Sony has finally started to reveal some limited edition consoles and controllers for the PS5. It’s fitting that they’re releasing them alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 which is arguably their biggest bet yet. This special bundle will come with a PlayStation 5 and a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DualSense controller and it looks stunning.
The console and controller both feature a design that’s influenced by Venom and the symbiote. The console shows a depiction of the symbiote moving towards a White Spider icon while the controller shows the symbiote already taking over the device. This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing designs we’ve seen on a PS5 console and controller in quite some time.
If you want to get your hands on the special console and controller, then you’ll be able to pre-order them next week. They’ll be available on PlayStation Direct starting Friday 28 July. It’s not clear how much this special bundle will cost but it’ll likely be a bit more expensive than a regular console.
Aside from the limited edition console, Sony has also revealed a Spider-Man 2 DualSense controller and a themed face plate for the PS5. The DualSense will be released separately, while the face plates can be purchased for any existing PlayStation 5 console. The designs can be bought separately as well, so you can add some Spider-Man 2 flair to any existing PS5 console you have.

Insomniac Games also released a story trailer and more details about Venom and the symbiote during its panel. It’s going to be a wild ride with the two Spider-Men facing off against the monstrous symbiote and all of its power.
